summer 12 update

some pieces I am working on in non-violent silk and organic cotton.
the net is not organic as I haven't found a supplier of 'fancy' organic fabrics yet, but it is a leftover from an old collection, available in small pieces, hence the patchworking.
aside from the issue of the added air miles, I am happy to purchase my hand spun / hand woven non-violent silk directly from the suppliers in India, as to my knowledge it is the only country where they hand pick the broken cocoons to turn them into this beautiful fabric.

I found these pictures from 2004 on a cd I nearly chucked in the move.
these pieces were made for a collection I called 'miss haversham' and i treated the garments to look old and dusty layering stain dyeing over screen printing.
I want to play with dyeing in my next collection and might be reviving the staining with more of a pattern going on... what do you think?
